SALSA: Misc. Updates and Opportunities

Hey y'all!

Check out the following opportunities for Hispanic/Latinx students below!

1. [UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH] Being Latinx in Academia: Navigation, Support, and Mentoring of Graduate Students and Faculty (see below)

This Townhall will focus on mentoring and advising graduate students and navigating academia as Latinx folx. The navigating portion will focus on how we got to where we are and any tips we can share for anyone looking to pursue higher education/faculty positions. The conversation would begin with navigation and lead into the support/advising or lack thereof of graduate students. If you require an accommodation to participate in this event, please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at diversity@pitt.edu by September 24. Tuesday, September 29 at 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. To register click here: https://calendar.pitt.edu/event/being_latinx_in_academia_navigation_support_and_mentoring_of_graduate_students_and_faculty#.X1j8nGdKiWB
