TODAY!! Pitt Spanish Club - Coffee & Bake Sale [This Friday in Posvar!]

Dear Pitt Community,

We hope you can help to spread the news. Each month, Pitt Spanish Club collaborates with the nonprofit organization Coffee Arabica Foundation for Education (C.A.F.E.) for a fundraiser. The proceeds from the baked goods helps support Spanish Club events, while proceeds from the coffee sales contribute to fund educational scholarships for Honduran youth to be able to attend school past 6th grade.

The bake sale will be this Friday, February 26th, from 8:00 am to 1:00pm on the 2nd floor of Posvar Hall (near Einstein's). ($2 for a cup, $10 for a bag)

Since last Spring, Pitt Spanish Club has raised $904 alongside C.A.F.E resulted from sales of coffee and donations. Just last semester alone, we have raised $763 for the organization. As a result of these efforts, we are able to endorse Danelia who has begun 7th grade this January.

We hope you show up to continue to support our cause,

Thank you so much,

Pitt Spanish Club

The True Cost (2015) | Human Rights Film Series | Duquesne University

Thursday, February 25

Director: Andrew Morgan
Run time: 92 minutes

This is a story about clothing. It's about the clothes we wear, the people who make them, and the impact the industry is having on our world. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades, while the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically. The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?
