This Week @ Tartan Salsa [5/18-5/24]

Happy Monday everyone!

 

We started out the Summer 2020 Tartan Salsa session with a little cookalong! Santiago taught us how to make arepas and the results were delicious.

 

We also started our summer classes. We are bringing you a series of challenges this summer to up your dancing game. If you missed classes this past week, don't worry! It's not too late to join in on our zoom classes. We will be reviewing the steps taught this past week in each class before continuing on with new material. The class schedule is at the end of the email. Don't forget, if you complete 2 challenges, you will receive a discount for a Tartan Salsa t-shirt.

You have 3 minutes to tell us everything you want about anything you want (e.g. Show us your apartment, explain a topic you are passionate about, share with us a cool video, etc) Are your friends sick of seeing your cat pics, but you still want someone to see them? Amalia Mondragón is a Fronteriza vocalist born in East Los Angeles and raised in the farmlands of La Union, New Mexico.    She has participated in music festivals such as the Vive Latino, SXSW, Guadalupe Valley Music festival, The Latin Alternative Music Conference, El Imperial, Plaza Condessa, The 9:30, Austin City Limits, among many others.
