 Please note that our regular Global Beats Night at AVA Lounge this month is on the 24th and not on the 31st . We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a Latin/Brazilian Fusion party!

 

Four Nights | Four Concerts | Four Days of Rhythm Workshops

DrumTalk World Rhythm Festival is an ongoing series of events to highlight the artistic and community-building power of the drum. DrumTalk brings together highly accomplished drummers from around the world, on stage, teaching classes or both for this International Percussion Festival and other events. DRUM FIESTA featuring Giovanni Hidalgo, and DrumTalk facilitators 

Friday, October 16 at 8 pm
Middle Eastern Drumming with Glen Velez, Raquy and the Cavemen with the incredible Middle Eastern Dance Troupe! 

Saturday, October 17 at 8 pm
Take a trip tot he deep forests of Congo and visit the Carnival Streets of Bahia, Brazil with WACONGO Dance Company & Afro Brazil Bloco.

Sunday, October 18 at 4 pm
World Music and Jazz Fusion:  Finale Concert with Jim Donovan joined on stage by Pittsburgh Jazz Legend Roger Humphries and his quintet.
