Join the Expert Witness Section of the Latin American Studies Association for the second in a series of workshops on serving as an expert witness. Developed by members of the EWS working group, the workshops will provide essential tools on what expert witness work entails and are designed to scale up to include workshops for those familiar with the work over the upcoming year.

The U.S. asylum system is in a state of flux as the Biden administration attempts to restore and rebuild it. In this workshop, our invitees will alert us to some of the key changes to U.S. asylum policies recently that new and experienced expert witnesses should be aware of in this new era. LASA members who might be interested in serving as expert witnesses or who have experience doing so are encouraged to participate.
