Ada Limón: Live Reading and Conversation
Presented by Autumn House Press

Poet Ada Limón will celebrate the 15th Anniversary edition release of her award-winning debut collection, Lucky Wreck published by Autumn House PressThis edition includes a new introduction by the poet reflecting on the book and on how her writing practice has developed over time. Ada will read from the collection and take part in a brief Q&A. Fellow poets and friends Jennifer L. Two debut novelists read and discuss their memoirs: Elizabeth Miki Brina's debut novel Speak, Okinawa beautifully combs a lifetime of memory, love, loss, the connections that bind us to one another, and is one of the most anticipated memoirs of 2021. A searing, deeply candid story about a young woman's journey to understand her complicated parents and her own, fraught cultural heritage. Aftershocks is a deeply felt memoir from Whiting Award–winner Nadia Owusu about the push and pull of belonging, the seismic emotional toll of family secrets, and the heart it takes to pull through. August Wilson House celebrates America's greatest playwright with a web series of substantial insider interviews. Featured in this episode is Yvette Ganier, who has been in four (or five?) August Wilson plays, two of them world premieres, in multiple productions from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, Seattle to New York, St. Louis to London. She's interviewed by Chris Rawson, veteran Pittsburgh Post-Gazette theater critic who chronicled Wilson's career and came to know him well. Learn more.

Gina Apostol: Live Reading & Conversation

In Gina Apostol's The Revolution According to Raymundo Mata, which won the Philippine National Book Award, readers will catch glimpses of the Philippine Revolution, the Filipino literary scene, and feuding academics all in a keenly humorous novel. Gina Apostol will be joined by award winning poet Ken Chen to discuss her creative process in a live moderated conversation with audience Q&A. Learn more.
