Portraiture of Cuba

The narrative of Cuba is entangled. Portraiture of Cuba peeks behind a curtain that's been in place for over 60 years with an inspiring perspective of the strength of the human spirit.

Using casual, candid, environmental & street photography this showing explores the spirit & personality of our neighbors. Over 2 dozen prints capture people in their daily lives.

Curiosity about the chaotic relationship between the US & Cuba motivated an independent photo essay. This gallery showing documents the diversity of emotions & character expressed in the faces of resilient people. It portrays a small part of a much larger real life drama.

Lens Culture Review Cuban Portraits Character & Emotions
"The aspect I like the most in your work is the incredible humanism in your portraits of the Cuban people which really give us a great sense of their personalities, environments and emotions."
