Calling all volunteers!
The Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit is seeking volunteers to help with a variety of setting up, crowd management, and breaking down tasks on Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th, 2024!
This year, we are hosting a short-and-sweet version of the Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit with all of the good stuff! We will be hearing from Keynote Speaker Audrey Murrell and a series of heavy-hitting panelists from all walks of life in the Greater Pittsburgh area, and we expect the turnout to be just as grand!
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and bright volunteers to fulfil a variety of tasks and help the Summit run as smoothly as possible. If this sounds like you but you are not sure where you'd be most comfortable, don't worry! We will provide a quick training on your individual tasks, and ensure you have the resources you need. The work involves:
-Friday evening registration
-Saturday morning registration
-Friday evening set-up (food, tables)
-Saturday morning set-up (food, tables)
-Friday evening clean-up
-Saturday morning clean-up
-Intermission assistance (coffee break)
-Saturday Post-Panel Discussion Facilitation
-Assist with Parking-lot Directions
And more!
You'll be given a Volunteer badge/name tag the day of. We will also provide trainings for your selected role if necessary. Friday evening is scheduled to take place from 6:00PM-9:00PM, and Saturday morning will be from 9:00AM-12:00PM with a hard stop at 1:00PM. We are asking for volunteers to dedicate anywhere between 1-3 hours depending on their role. This information will be provided closer to the Summit dates.

Please note that these roles are strictly unpaid volunteer roles, and the use of any personal equipment falls outside of the scope of payment of the Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit or any of our Partners/Members.
