Given the diversity of issues addressed by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights with regard to Nicaragua, this edited volume brings together the authoritative voices of eleven scholars who analyze from different angles – legal, political and institutional – the judgments issued by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights regarding Nicaragua during the last two decades: Genie Lacayo v. Nicaragua; Mayangna (Sumo) Awas Tingni Community v. Nicaragua; Yatama v. Nicaragua; Acosta et al. v. Nicaragua; Roche Azaña et al. v. Nicaragua and V.R.P. Case, V.P.C et al. v. Nicaragua.
In this webinar the editors will provide an overview of the book, while contributing authors will provide a short presentation of their respective chapters: Mariano Fernández Valle (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina), Karina Sánchez; Marcelo Trucco (Universidad Nacional de Rosario), Eilyn Cruz (Nicaragua), Mario Cruz Martínez (Universidad Iberoamericana-Mexico), Tamara Hernández, Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico), Franco Gatti (Universidad Nacional de la Plata, Argentina); Miguel González (York University, Canada); Edward Pérez (Inter-American Court of Human Rights), and William Montalván, Centro Internacional de Estudios e Investigación de Derecho y Filosofía (CEIDEF).
