We will be having our General Body Meeting (GBM) this week from 6:30 - 7:30 (the time has been updated) in PH A18B. This will be our first chance to discuss the upcoming semester and the club in general. So if you want to provide input, it is VERY important that you attend. Also, there will be FREE FOOD!
2 - The Grand Plan Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by Kaplan Test Prep and Fresh Prints with the intention of funding post-graduate endeavors. The scholarship deadline is September 30th, so sign up as soon as possible.
The application takes 5 minutes and has 1 short essay and it's for $5,000!!!
3 - Volunteering in Honduras
The Bilingual Education for Central America is currently looking for volunteer teachers for late-start teachers. The late-start program begins in January of 2019 and runs through June of 2019. This program is ideal for December graduates who are looking to expand their wealth of knowledge and give back to the world.
Room & board provided - Food & incidentals stipend - No Spanish or Teaching certificate required

4 - 2nd Annual 4.12 Run/Walk for Casa San Jose
412 Resistance is hosting the 2nd Annual 4.12K run/walk with all proceeds going to Casa San Jose. Casa San Jose is a community resource center that advocates for and empowers Latinos by promoting integration and self-sufficiency. You can learn more about Casa San Jose's history and services at https://casasanjose.org.
The race is Sunday, October 7 at 9 am. Race registration for participants 13 and older is $27.50. The first 100 participants to register will also receive a tote bag!
5 - Latinx Research Study Participation Request
This online survey is being conducted by PhD. Student Erika Hanley of Auburn University. It should take approximately 25-30 minutes, and examines experiences with politics and stress of Latinx individuals in the United States.
By participating in this study, individuals will have the opportunity to be entered to win one of 3 $20 Amazon gift cards.
