Invitation to International Translation Day Celebration

Dear All,

 

Come celebrate with us International Translation Day and the world’s cultural and linguistic diversity, and acknowledge the important work of language professionals and translators who facilitate dialogue, the circulation of ideas, and the peaceful cooperation among nations. 

 

On behalf of Modern Languages and English, I cordially invite you to an Open House on Monday, October 1 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. celebrating International Translation Day and the launch of our new M.A. in Global Communication and Applied Translation.

 

Celebrations will take place in the Askwith Kenner Global Languages and Cultures Room in CMU’s new Tepper School of Business, in the hallway behind the Welcome Center. In addition to a variety of refreshments, there will be short presentations on translation studies by faculty and students as well as an opportunity to learn more about the new M.A. program, a collaboration of Modern Languages and English.
