4 - Project-LOUGUE Submissions

1 - Weekly Schedule

There will not be a GBM this week to give everyone the opportunity to take full advantage of the TOC!
However, we know you all will be tired from all that networking, so we will be having our Welcome Party on Saturday, September 29th (date has changed) @ 11pm. The address will be 5114 Beeler Street (B2).

2 - TOC and Professional Opportunities
Please download the app by searching "TOC CMU" in the App or Play Store.
Also, please email the Society of Hispanic Profession Engineers (SHPE, cmu.shpe@gmail.com) and/or the Black and Latin Business Association (BLBA, cmublba@gmail.com) for information about professional opportunities for this week.

3 - Google's BOLD Internship Program
Google has begun accepting applications for their BOLD Internship Program. About the program:
The Building Opportunities for Leadership and Development (BOLD) Internship Program is a paid summer internship for rising undergraduate seniors that are interested in business careers in the technology industry and full-time job opportunities at Google. We've designed our program to expose historically underrepresented students in this field to career opportunities in the industry and to prepare all entry-level talent to be ambassadors for diversity, equity, and inclusion in their careers. Students from all schools, and students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, and veterans, are encouraged to apply.

4 - Project-LOGUE Call for Submissions
Project-LOGUE, an initiative promoting awareness of Pittsburgh's linguistic and cultural diversity, is opening a call for writing and art submissions in languages other than English.
The theme is:

Tell us about the untranslatable in your life! Maybe it's a word, phrase, or proverb that loses meaning in translation. Maybe it's a conversation you can't imagine having in a second language. Maybe it's a feeling or experience that language alone can't express.

Submissions are due: October 15th
Email prjlogue@gmail.com if you have any questions or submissions.

Saludos,
