Friends of Latin American Films - Amigos del Cine Latinoamericano cordially invite you to the screening of an extraordinary documentary about "La Churona:  Virgen del Cisne in Madrid" a very interesting documentary about Ecuadorian immigrants fighting for the respect of their faith for the Virgen del Cisne (Loja-Ecuador).

 

"A replica of Virgen del Cisne produces a commotion in the Catholic community of Madrid. As she were an illegal immigrant, the "Churona"  (The curly-Haired Virgin) wanders in search for an altar"   (http://www.lachurona.com
 

In this occasion this documentary will be introduced by the director and a session of questions and answers will follow the screening. The event is free, open to the public (for all public , and in Spanish with English subtitles.
