Global Medical Brigades Recruitment at CMU

Join a 7-day student-run Medical Brigade to Honduras this Spring Break!  We will be sending a group of dedicated volunteers, along with doctors, pharmacists, and dentists to Honduras to set up temporary clinics to provide free medical care to small rural communities in Honduras.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in medicine, public health, Spanish and Central America, or international development.  The native language in Honduras is Spanish; however, everyone (even those with no Spanish or medical experience) is encouraged to apply. We are looking for people from every major, not just pre-meds; the only requirements are passion and dedication!

We will be gathering donations, medical supplies, and medicine throughout the year to bring with us on our brigade. In March 2011, our group of 15 brigaders, alongside four physicians and a dentist, brought approximately $80,000 worth of medicine and served over 800 patients.
Information Sessions:
Saturday, September 17th, 4-5 pm in WEH 5409
Monday, September 19th, 9-10 pm in WEH 5409
(Both sessions will cover the same material.)

Applications will be sent out via e-mail following the information sessions.
