SUNDAY, March 19, 7:30 PM ET A Vivid Night of Melody with
Camila Meza Quartet 

Camila Meza has been hailed by The New York Times for her "appealing combination of lightness and depth" as well as her improvisation on both electric and acoustic guitar. This concert is part of her quartet's month-long tour.

CDs of Camila's 2016 album, Traces, are available for purchase at the concert.

MONDAY, March 20, 7:00 PM ET International Reading Series: An Exploration of South African Literature with Zakes Mda 

"In the years following the end of Apartheid in South Africa…perhaps no author was more significant—or prolific—than Zakes Mda, whose work took on a thrilling range of themes and subjects, both historical and contemporary," says Anderson Tepper, Curator of International Literature on the third installment of our International Reading Series.

This reading is followed by a moderated conversation, audience Q&A, and a book signing. Purchase one of Zakes' many works at City of Asylum Bookstore.

TUESDAY, March 21, 7:00 PM ET Story Club PGH Story Slam: Last Call 

Story Club Pittsburgh (created by the former producers of The Moth Pittsburgh)organizes and hosts a monthly nonfiction storytelling series at City of Asylum. This series mixes the spontaneity of an open mic with the experience of live theater. Every show includes volunteer storytellers and featured performers who take the stage to share stories based on a theme. This month's theme is Last Call
