But on his way to a community celebration in the Andes, Segundo accidentally discovers his father is gay. The revelation shatters his whole world and cracks form in their bond. Trapped in a homophobic environment, Segundo sees silence as his only option for dealing with his father's secret.  Retablo is the winner of the Teddy Award (Berlin Film Festival), Outstanding Feature Film (Frameline, San Francisco LGBT Film Fest), Best Feature Film (InsideOut Toronto LGBT Film Festival), and an Official Selection (Seattle Film Festival).
