The Department of Modern Languages is sponsoring a lecture, "The Trauma of War and Art", by CMU visiting professor from Moscow, Igor Vishnevetsky, who has written a novel and made a film set into the context of the World War II Siege of Leningrad. The novel and film, both titled Leningrad, are of an experimental nature and have won awards in Russia.
Tuesday, October 7 at 4:30 pm on the CMU campus, in the Steinberg Auditorium in Baker Hall, Room A 53. A reception will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
