I am writing to share an invitation to an upcoming CERC Migration Workshop on South and Central America as a transit space for migration, convened by CERC Visiting Scholar of Excellence Gioconda Herrera, Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) Ecuador and our own Berti Olinto, CERC Migration. Further information is below, and it is a hybrid (online and in person) event.

Complex migration pathways: South and Central America as a transit space   Nov. 28, 2023, 10 AM - 4:15 PM EST Hybrid   Join CERC Migration for our upcoming Scholars of Excellence workshop. The November meeting explores the complex (and at time circular) migration dynamics in the broader South and Central America region involving people with mixed motivations from a variety of countries. The discussion aims to link the regional realities to also global analytical perspectives as to how migration governance is shaping up in the post-pandemic world.
