The Duquesne University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Program for Immigrant Entrepreneurs (PIE) is inviting you and your organization to the International Networking Forum and Business Fair for Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Duquesne University from 9:00am – 1:30pm.
The event is free of charge and lunch is included.
The International Networking Forum is a program for Immigrants/international entrepreneurs, foreign people who live in Pittsburgh and newcomers, who are in the following three stages:
1) Have an idea of a business or want general business and legal information
2) Know what business they want to open
3) Are already in business and they want to grow their business.
Program:
A) There will be speakers presenting on U.S. Visa Immigration law as well as Legal Practices of doing business in the U.S.

- Ana Maria Mieles, Esq. Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. Topic: "Traveling to the U.S., Practical & Legal Considerations"
B) There will be a presentation on Business Certification and the relation with contracts.
- Ruth Byrd Smith, Director. Allegheny County Minority/Women/Disadvantage Certification. Topic: "How to Certify your business as a Minority-Owned or Women-Owned or Disability-Owned business and get Government Contracts."
C) Meet over 30 business service providers at the exhibit hall. These organizations want to help immigrants/internationals to open a business. There will be lawyers, accountants, banks, insurance, social media, chambers of commerce, loans, and ESL entities. They will offer free of charge consulting. Below is a list of the exhibitors.
The event's goal is for Immigrant/International Entrepreneurs to learn about business entrepreneurial resources, to open or grow a business in the Pittsburgh region and to assist U.S. exporting companies to do business with the immigrant's home countries.
