Coro Latinoamericano Annual Christmas Concert

 

This year's theme—Navidad Caribe—a joyous and rhythmic celebration of songs from all over the Caribbean, will be enriched by guest performances by none other than Pittsburgh's own Geña and a number of her Machete-Kisumontao musicians.

Admission is free. Suggested donation at the door.

Limited seating, so come early!

 

El tema este año es—Navidad Caribe—una alegre y rítmica celebración de canciones de todo el Caribe. También con nosotros estará nuestra querida Geña, con algunos de los integrantes de su grupo Machete-Kisumontao. La entrada es gratis, aunque se aceptan donaciones en la puerta. UCIS Faculty Fellowship

 

The purpose of the University Center for International Studies (University of Pittsburgh) Faculty Fellowship is to enable faculty members to undertake projects or acquire skills that enhance the University’s capabilities in some branch of international studies. The Fellowship does not interrupt the accrual of terms toward a sabbatical. The Fellowship is awarded in close collaboration between UCIS, the faculty member, the relevant department chair, and the dean of the relevant faculty or school. The grant includes a limited research fund.

Nationality Room Summer Study Abroad Awards are accepting applications until Thursday, January 31, 2013. The Nationality Room Awards provide scholarships for summer study abroad (at least five weeks) to eligible students with international-related career goals. Undergraduate eligibility requirements include being a sophomore or junior with a minimum 3.0 QPA. US citizenship or permanent residency is required. Clínica de adolescentes en español

La División de Medicina de Adolescentes y el Programa Salud Para Niños del Children's Hospital de Pittsburgh ofrece servicios médicos generales para adolescentes en español. Estos servicios incluyen exámenes físicos, consultas medicas por enfermedad, salud reproductiva (excepto control del embarazo y visitas prenatales), prevención y tratamiento de enfermedades de transmisión sexual y tratamiento de asuntos comunes en adolescentes como prevención de tabaquismo, uso de substancias psicoactivas y problemas del comportamiento. Estos servicios serán ofrecidos a pacientes que tengan seguro medico y hayan seleccionado al CHP Adolescent Medicine Division como su medico (PCP).

Servicios confidenciales están disponibles para jóvenes hombres y mujeres menores de 22 años de edad que requieran tratamiento relacionado a salud reproductiva incluyendo planificación familiar y citologías (PAP smears) así como tratamiento de de enfermedades de transmisión sexual, independientemente de el tener o no seguro de salud o de la posibilidad de pagar por los servicios.
