1 – Classes Tonight

Join us for dancing tonight in the CUC Studio Theater at 6PM! We will be hosting casino-style salsa lessons, introducing instructors for the year, and getting back into the groove with a mini social. Bring your friends!

This semester we will be teaching a new style of salsa known as casino or Cuban salsa. Different from linear-style salsa which is danced in a slot, casino is more circular, and can even be danced in a large group (Rueda de Casino). With the help of DJ D'Aço of Steel City Kizomba, our second hour of classes (starting the first week of September) will be kizomba. We'll be discussing details and describing more at our first meeting next week!

Spanish Speaking NASH Patients Needed: PAID Phone Based Study

Hello,

PMAHCC member, NASH kNOWledge, was recently contacted by a research firm who is conducting a paid phone study for Spanish speaking patients with NASH/MASH or NAFLD/MASLD with scarring. They have been having difficulty finding patients that meet the criteria so they are on a tight timeframe to get back to them, as they will be conducting the study within the next two weeks.

Details:

They are seeking Spanish speaking individuals who currently have NASH/MASH or NAFLD/MASLD with scarring who are willing to have a 1:1 phone conversation to share their personal experience with the disease. This is a paid study and the rate of pay for the patients will be $200 for a one-hour phone discussion, paid via a virtual gift card (they said it is either Visa or Mastercard). There will be a screening process first so there is a chance you may not be selected to do the paid study, depending on the screening call.

If you are interested, please share the following with Gina at NASH kNOWledge (gina@nash-now.org) and she will pass it along to the research company

  • Name (First name, Last initial is fine):
  • Phone Number:
  • Sex (M/F):
  • Scarring Level (if known):

Feel free to reach out to NASH kNOWledge Executive Director, Gina (gina@nash-now.org), or to their Latino Outreach Coordinator, Maria (maria@nash-now.org), if you have any questions about the study.

Thank you and please feel free to share with anyone who you think may have an interest in participating.
