Happy Hump Day! Here are a few announcements:
-General Body Meeting TOMORROW Thursday the 28th 6:00pm Porter Hall A18A. The theme for the GBM will be "Let's Taco 'Bout It" where we will be kicking off our first discussion in our new talk series.
-Noche Latina is almost here! For more information about Noche Latina and how you can be involved, be sure to attend the GBM tomorrow. We need you guys to make this event possible, so if you're interested in helping but can't make the GBM no problem! Just send an email to SALSA or let an E-board member know you're interested. Check out the Facebook page.
-1000plus is coming up so be sure to sign up here! We would love to see you guys involved! If there are any questions about signing up, don't hesitate to ask.
-Haciendo Enlaces is back again! It's a Spanish immersion program. Read below for all the necessary information.
We are kicking off our second year of Haciendo Enlaces, the weekly Spanish immersion program in Boss House, this Thursday at 5pm! Michelle Mirabella (Housefellow of Boss & McGill Houses) is joined by student leaders Frank Andújar (Boss House alumn & current RA in Wesnik) and Ruby Julaj (Boss House Global Ambassador) in continuing this program into its second year.
Haciendo Enlaces (Making Connections) is a weekly opportunity to get together and talk in Spanish about topics related to identity, culture, current events, etc. Our primary objective is to create connections among undergraduate Spanish speakers at Carnegie Mellon (be they native speakers, heritage speakers, or intermediate-advanced students of the language). We also aim to occasionally invite faculty/staff Spanish speakers as guests to get students connected.

-This year SALSA is participating in 1000 plus Day of Service and we need volunteers! So if you're interested click this link to sign up. If you have any questions about how to sign up, feel free to reach out!
-This weekend SALSA will be planning a social to hang out and get to know you guys. For more information, make sure you have been added to the groupme. If you're not, let us know here.
-Today there will be a gathering to support those in our CMU community, who have been impacted by the recent string of natural disasters. We know many of our own members homes and families have been impacted, and we'd like to offer you our support as well.

This is a gathering of support for anyone in the CMU community impacted by the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean and U.S. and the earthquakes in Mexico.

We hope you guys had fun at the meeting yesterday! The eboard was really excited to meet you and we've been eager to get this semester started. We understand that some of you couldn't make it due to other commitments, but we have other events and meetings coming up so be sure to stop by and join in! We have a few annoucements for you guys:

We have a few pieces of good news for everyone.
1. It's almost Friday! Woo!
2. We will be hosting our first General Body Meeting FRIDAY September 15th from 4pm-5pm in the Diversity and Inclusion Center located in the lower level in the UC across from the bookstore.
Stop by and meet some new people, have fun with us, and learn about who we are, what we do, and some of our events for this semester. We're also eager to hear what you're expecting during this fall semester. We're looking forward to seeing you soon!
