Rock en/in Guatemala

™ This Thursday at 6:30 pm, Ruby Julaj, student in the 82-455 course on Countercultures and Popular Music in Latin America will be speaking about Rock in Guatemala and the band Alux Nahual. To listen, tune into WRCT’s “Barrio Latino”, 88.3 FM or wrct.org.

™ Este jueves a las 6:30 pm, Ruby Julaj, estudiante del curso 82-455: Contraculturas y músicas populares en Latinoamérica estará hablando sobre el rock en Guatemala y la banda Alux Nahual. Para escucharla, basta sintonizar el programa “Barrio Latino de WRCT, en 88.3 FM o en internet: wrct.org.

Bowling Social!

Hello! 

 

I hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving break and are prepared to finish off the semester! 

 

As we mentioned before this Friday December 4th, we are having a bowling social with other organizations! 

There is a special, all you can bowl for $11 (Cash only), from 6-8pm, and it includes shoes.

 

The event will take place in Forward Lanes.

The address is 5844 Forward Ave. Pittsburgh PA 15217, and it's a 15 minute bus ride from campus.

 

We plan to meet by the black chairs at 5:20pm, and head over together. However, people can also meet us there if they would like. 

 

We ask for you to please let us know if you plan to attend so that we can have a rough idea of how many people are attending in total, and whom to wait for before heading over. 

 

We hope to see you all there!
