Dr. Angelica Perez-Johnston (she/ella), Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion officer for the Community College of Allegheny County. Her current work focuses on intentional engagement opportunities to ensure that the community college serves those that are within marginalized identities. Dr. APJ strives to increase the conversation on the breadth of diversity beyond dichotomous perceptions and is committed to action as an imperative in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion work.


Dr. APJ earned her Doctorate in Public Administration from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has facilitated workshops and trainings for community organizations, faculty, staff and students on various DEI related topics including racial identity development, unconscious bias, white privilege and allyship.

#LatinoPittsburgh Digital Speaker Series is an initiative of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. It's goals are to share relevant information, inspire growth and foster opportunity.

Speakers include community leaders and member as well as other individuals who have a positive impact not only on the Hispanic community, but Pittsburgh as a region.
