Hello all,
The film tonight at 7:30pm as part of the MLRC Wednesday Night Film Series is M8 – Quando a morte socorre a vida (M8 – When death helps life), an award-winning suspense drama from Brazil directed by Jefferson De. The film touches on critical subjects of social belonging and exclusion, class, opportunities in education and social mobility, interracial friendships and romance, and the Black Lives Matter movement in Brazil. All while telling a gripping story of a young medical student's mysterious connection with the cadaver assigned to his study group for anatomy class.
Hope to see you at the showing!
